Yesterday was a frustrating day of non-sailing! The winds would pick up to around 15 knots and we would duly unfurl the sails and stop the engine, only to see the winds fall back after just five minutes, forcing us to revert to the engine. That must have happened four or five times over the day. Finally, at 2am, the winds hit a consistent strength and we have been sailing ever since. The forecast is good: a steady north-westerly force 4-5 all the way to our destination, so we are hopeful that the engine will stay off.
No more animal sightings, so we have been concentrating on the cribbage. All three of us can compete in the same game, though whether that is a good thing or not, is hard to say!
