Our first day back at sea has been pretty uneventful. We set off in dense fog that took until midday to lift, and the winds have been light with calm seas. This has been entirely as predicted by our professional weather forecaster, and we are anticipating three more days of motoring before the winds pick up and we can unfurl the sails. Fortunately we do have more than enough fuel.
With little to occupy us by way of sailing, we have been exploring other ways to pass the time. Jon and Peter have returned to the backgammon set, and Peter took advantage of our new provisions to cook delicious salmon wrapped in prosciutto, served with a lentil and herb mix (courtesy of Jamie Oliver). Again, we tried to fish but it seems the tuna are not biting, at least not for us. The evening sunset was beautiful.
