Caribbean cruising 2025
Four years in the Mediterranean, a fortune spent on upgrades and repairs, many excuses ticked off, and one “lively” Atlantic passage… we have finally made it to the Caribbean. Making landfall in Grenada, this season we plan to explore the Windward islands, cruising north as far as Martinique before returning to Grenada to leave Merryn in a secure boatyard for the Hurricane season. Time to settle into island life and enjoy a rum punch!
Merryn's position
We have equipped Merryn with a satellite tracking system. It should send a signal every hour (when we are underway, and assuming I have remembered to switch it on!) and the position is then transcribed to the map below.

28th May 2025: The season ends
The end of the season, and it has been a busy time with lots of jobs to prepare Merryn for the Hurricane season on the hard in Spice Island boatyard. We have had some unexpected reunions with our fellow Viking rally sailors, and found time to relax and sightsee, including a couple of days in Barbados where we have a stopover before our flight home
