The picture tells the whole story! Back on the 18th of this month when I posted the last entry, we were sitting on the boat looking out at the rain. Here we are nearly two weeks later and it is still raining. In between we have watched Storm Francis come and go and spent an inordinate amount of time trying to waterproof our cockpit tent (unsuccessfully, I am sorry, and soggy, to report).
So, the weather is helping to strengthen our resolve. We are heading back to Ste Foy, then we will set off on the cycle route across the Alps as soon as we can. That is likely to be around the 10th of September, and I will post a map of our planned route shortly before we leave, which I hope we will be able to update with daily progress notes and pictures.
