The snow keeps falling…
Towards the end of November I flew back to London – and Cate and I went partying. Our friend Jeavon was hosting his 60th birthday and retirement parties as a combined bash – both several years late (he claims due to Covid restrictions, but we think his notorious timekeeping is more at fault!). What an amazing event – unlimited champagne, food and dancing (to Mullitt, all the way from Val d’Isère), with even more partying at a lunch do he organised the next day. Thank you, Jeavon!
Nursing our sore heads, we returned to France on the 27th of November, and have been enjoying fabulous snow conditions. We went up to Val d’Isère for the opening day of the season, and followed that with a glorious day skiing champagne powder in La Rosière. Of course, La Rosière has yet to officially open, but that makes it all the more special. Okay, so we had to walk up to the top of the resort, but the reward was a descent in perfect conditions, as you can see in the video below.
Our friends Martin, Jeavon (again!), Mike and Neil are coming out in a couple of days and we will all be heading up to Val d’Isère for the traditional pre-Christmas ski week. Expect more drinking and dancing, and possibly a bit more skiing too.

Wow! What fantastic conditions. Xx
