Col de la Tourne ski tour
This was our first tour without a guide. We took advantage of unusually sunny and settled weather in January (and low avalanche risk!) to hop over the Col du Palet – just above the Palet drag lift in Tignes. A beautiful ski down, with unexpected powder, before we realised we had taken a wrong turn! The original plan was to skin up to a col called the Col de la Grassaz and enjoy a second ski, but the wrong turn made a simpler option to skin up to the Col de la Tourne and rejoin the piste a much more attractive option.
