Last night was the first for a while when we had no squalls. The sky was clear and we surfed along the waves swaying side to side as the ocean rolled under us. There was only the last sliver of moon so the galaxy was displayed in all its glory.
Today is sunny, hot and humid. The winds have eased a little, down to 20 knots, and the seas are not so rough. We have sailed 170 nautical miles in the last 24 hours averaging 7 knots. We’re delighted that Merryn is sailing so beautifully and looking after us so well. If we continue with such fair winds we will be in Port Louis, Grenada before nightfall on Friday.
Tonight will be a new moon, hopefully heralding new adventures on the horizon.
Brilliant news!
Well done Merryn, Cate and Jono !
Xx
