Since our retirement on 2019 we have been lucky to have the opportunities to ski through the winter months and to sail through the Summer. Although briefly thwarted by the restrictions of COVID, we have been able to fulfil our dreams. In 2024 our plans changed a little: we decided to keep sailing beyond the Summer and into 2025 – crossing the Atlantic to explore new cruising grounds in the Caribbean. So our winters will now be spent sailing, and our Summers spent in the French Alps where we hope to enjoy cycling and hiking.

Follow our progress on these pages: we try to post a blog every couple of weeks or so. When sailing, we also post our position using a tracking device on board the boat, so you can see where we are and how far we have sailed. Once in a blue moon I also summon up the enthusiasm to post a short video. My advice: ignore the dreadful videos, but at least enjoy the music – we try and set the videos to something that can at least be listened to!

Follow our position here:

The tracker should update our position hourly when we are moving (assuming I’ve remembered to charge the batteries!)

The latest post... the start of our 2025 Caribbean cruise

19th February 2025

At last we feel we are settling into island life – relaxing at anchor in Prickly bay on the South side of Grenada. Time to recover from the frenetic activities of the past three weeks.
